Two Midtown towers' restaurant pipelines finally deliver

Sozou, chef Fuyuhiko Ito's third restaurant at Spring Quarter, has opened in Midtown, and Fleming's Steakhouse is set to open at Midtown Union in September.

Sozou, a Japanese sushi and robatayaki restaurant from chef Fuyuhiko Ito, has opened on the ground floor of the Ten Twenty Spring tower at Portman's Spring Quarter, his third restaurant at the development after Celestia and ISHIN by Ito opened there last October.

A few blocks away, Fleming's Steakhouse is set to open its second Atlanta-area location at Midtown Union in September, an 8,233-square-foot space with an outdoor lounge at 17th and West Peachtree streets. Both mark ground-floor retail catching up to office and residential towers that finished years ago.

What to watch

Fleming's exact September opening date, and whether Spring Quarter's fourth restaurant, Hal's The Steakhouse, opens on its stated spring 2027 timeline.
