The industrial-to-mixed-use rezoning pattern holds, and one case closes

The same pending City of Atlanta cases converting industrial land to mid-rise mixed-use are still awaiting a vote, while Z-26-31 became the week's one finalized case, an ordinance rezoning a single-family lot to a nonconforming use.

This week's docket looks much like last week's. Pending cases Z-26-49, Z-26-33, Z-26-8 and Z-26-7 would each convert industrial-zoned land, 2.5 to 23.4 acres apiece and nearly 50 acres total, to MRC-3, the mid-rise mixed-use category that allows apartments and shops where warehouses stand now.

Z-26-38 would do the same for a mixed planned-development and commercial site. None have moved to a final vote since last week. The one case that did resolve, Z-26-31, sits outside that pattern: it finalized a rezoning from single-family R-2B to a legal nonconforming use, recorded as ordinance 26-O-1251.
